BUSINESS BANKING

BUSINESS FOR GOOD

Refer a business today and drive change with a £300 donation to charity.

Refer a business and make a difference

At OakNorth, we’re committed to helping businesses thrive. With our Business for Good referral programme, you can introduce an eligible new business to OakNorth business banking and, in return, we’ll donate £300 – split equally between you and the business you successfully referred – to charity. It’s a simple way to support your network and make a positive impact.

How it works

Step 1

Send this page to an eligible business you would like to refer to us so they can start their application (make sure they put your details in as their referrer!).

Step 2

Once the referred business has successfully opened an account, they will need to deposit £85,000 within the first month to meet our eligibility criteria.

Step 3

Once successful, we’ll reach out to find out which charity you’d like us to send your £150 donation to (we’ll do the same for the business you referred to us).

Step 4

We’ll handle the donations directly on your behalf – making a positive impact has never
been easier!

FAQs

Anyone can refer a business to OakNorth business banking.

To be eligible, the referee must be a UK business that has not applied to OakNorth business banking in the past and must meet the standard eligibility criteria for OakNorth business banking.

There is no limit to how many businesses you can refer. As long as they meet our eligibility criteria, we’ll donate £150 in your name and £150 in the successful referee’s name to your charities of choice.

If the business you referred is successful in opening an account and has deposited £85,000 in the first month, we’ll reach out to you to let you know and ask for your charity of choice (and do the same for them). If you don’t hear from us, unfortunately it means the business was not successful in meeting the eligibility criteria.

As long as your chosen charity passes our due diligence checks, we’ll donate to them. In the event we decline your chosen charity we will let you know and ask you to choose another one. The chosen charities of the referrer and referee can be the same or different.

Notes

*Variable rates correct as of 30-Sep-2024. 3.60% AER on easy-access savings and 4.75% AER on a separate 95-day notice account. The interest rate for the notice account is variable and will track the Bank of England Base rate plus or minus a fixed spread (this is the rate that we add or subtract from the Bank of England Base rate). When applying, you will have full clarity on the interest rate (which will include the Bank of England Base rate and the spread). So, if the Bank of England Base rate goes up, your rate will go up; and if the rate comes down, your rate will follow. The interest rate on your account will be updated on the 1st day of each calendar month to reflect the change made to the Bank of England Base rate. Read the Terms and Conditions here. ** No fees as of 30-Sep-2024 but subject to change.
