Connecting Xero to your OakNorth business account

Sync your OakNorth business account with Xero to simplify bookkeeping, reduce manual data entry, and get a real-time view of your cash flow.

Connecting your banking and accounting tools means faster reconciliation, fewer errors, and more time to focus on growing your business.

Set up the integration
To connect OakNorth to Xero, just follow these steps.

  1. Log in to the OakNorth web app.
  2. Click on ‘Accounting integrations’ on the left-hand menu.
  3. Find Xero and click ‘Set up’.

A pop-up will appear with information about the connection. Click ‘Next’ to continue.

Log in and allow access. You’ll be redirected to Xero.

  1. Enter your Xero login credentials.
  2. Once logged in, click ‘Allow access’ to authorise OakNorth to connect.

Configure your setup and now it’s time to map your accounts.

  1. Match your OakNorth bank accounts with the relevant Xero bank accounts.
  2. You can also create new accounts in Xero if needed.

Once you’re happy with the configuration, click ‘Connect’.

You’re all set
Your OakNorth accounts will now be synced with Xero. You’ll see your accounts reflected in your Xero dashboard, with transactions syncing daily to keep your data up to date.

You’ll also be able to view your connected accounts from the OakNorth dashboard.
