Part of the My Choice Healthcare Group, Moorlands Healthcare focuses on care in the counties adjoining Staffordshire and other key locations across the Midlands and South Wales. With the West Midland’s supply of care home beds lower than any other region in the UK, it was looking for a funding partner to help it address this gap. 

Opportunity & Outcomes

We supported Moorlands Healthcare by providing it with a structured finance facility of £2.3M, enabling it to acquire Harewood Park Care Home in Staffordshire and add three more rooms to the site. Craig Sheppard, Founder and Chairman of Moorlands Healthcare Limited and My Choice Healthcare Limited, said: “it was clear from working with the team at OakNorth Bank that this is a sector they understand and have done numerous transactions in before.” Now, with the capital from OakNorth Bank, Moorlands Healthcare is equipped to lay out its plans for further acquisitions moving forward.
